Blood Elf Buildings

I had the incredible opportunity to be the point artist overseeing the Blood Elf architecture culture kit for Midnight.

As the point artist, my contributions included creating initial key art to define the new look - the small house shown, as well as base modeling for the overall kit, painting reusable textures, and providing feedback to a large group of artists and outsource supervisors to ensure a cohesive and polished result.

I also took a number of assets through to full completion, the ones that are shown here were those specifically for Eversong Woods.

The core intention I had throughout this rebuild was to help evolve the Blood Elf aesthetic in a way that felt true to its original identity. Updating game assets that have existed for two decades, the challenge was to translate that into a style language that feels fresh and fits modern WoW, while still honouring the essence and player's memories of the original architecture.

This was a large-scale effort and I was fortunate to collaborate with an incredible group of artists and designers across multiple disciplines, who were also passionate blood elf enthusiasts. We all had a blast working on this update together! :)
